Time to Kill IE6

An internet giant has prepared to take a or lead to eradicate the problems of the web developers. YouTube, a subsidiary of Google has officially announced that Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) will not be further be taken care of in its site. IE6 has been tedious factor in the web development. Half of the web development is consumed to make the web apps and site working in the IE6 environment. YouTube is displaying a message notifying “Your browser will be unsupported soon. Please upgrade to a modern browser.” as shown below.

youtube-drop-ie6The message has requested either to upgrade the IE or move to other browsers like Firefox, Safari and Chrome etc. It’s not only Google to kill the browser, there are many sites that have started to notify that their site doesn’t support IE6 environment. Microsoft must have felt much tedious to keep IE6 alive because once i have felt some problems using hotmail in IE6. IE6 have many vulnerable problems regarding different CSS properties, PNG Transparency and security. So I also support for Microsoft to shut down IE6. Web developers, web designers, web masters and even visitors feel comfortable in existence of the browser. Thanks for YouTube to taking the step and hope all the Google apps and other big faces of internet world start to act against the intolerable browser.

i really don’t think it’s ie6 that’s causing the problem. In once sense I love it, i grew with it, it actually taught me to be ready to face xHTML, CSS compatibility issues in different browsers. It actually shows a distinct features of browsers that they are unique. They have compatibility issues, support issue and many more.. and so on

May be the time that I spent for a simple CSS to get fixed without others help or make JS workable mend me to pour out such words against the browser. So in my words such outdated keeps dragging and extend unnecessary workload.
