Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2016

Every year, on the third Saturday in July, riders from Nepal and all over the world (ok, that sounds glamorous, but riders from different nationalities do participate) gather in Kathmandu (last year we were close to 2500 riders) to ride a personal challenge of 50 km | 75 km and 100 km around Kathmandu Valley. This is now popular as the KATHMANDU KORA, this year on its sixth edition so its Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2016 this year.

Started in 2011, a modest 35 riders challenged themselves and got pledged of around half a million Nepali Rupees for a school and an orphanage in Kathmandu. In its second edition, almost 300 riders turned up and raised close to a million Rs. for upgrading birthing facilities in RUKUM.

In the fiftth edition last year, we had close to 3000 riders and over Rs 0.7m raised to build a health facility in Makaibari, Gorkha- the devasted area after the great earthquake in 2015.

How do we achieve this?

Easy. We register. We share. We talk to people about what we are doing, and get pledges from them for each kilometer we are riding.

Use of VR technology in Tourism

I had heard about Virtual Reality after Facebook bought Oculus Rift to make its presence in development of Virtual Reality (VR). From then on, I have been following different posts and articles based on uses of VR in various sectors like Medicine, Industries, Education where VR can be implemented for different purposes like researches and enhancements. VR, now has similar charm like the first iPod or iPhone had created. Though it’s limited to certain people only for now, there is want for more content, products and its implementation around us. I would like to state some use of VR technology in Tourism for now.

From the experience of the VR users, it has been worked and they felt it like their own new sense. Although this tool is new in technology, it will surely bring dramatic and revolutionary leap in field of tourism. On using the Head Set of VR, you will feel that you are present in the very place of which your are viewing through it. It will not fail to entertain the users and keep them engaged with its different features like movement in 360 degree, hand gestures, supporting tools etc. Continue reading Use of VR technology in Tourism

Lyrics of Siriri by Bipul Chettri

I have tried to compile the lyrics of Siriri by Bipul Chettri from his new album Maya. The song is published on Youtube on June 16, 2016 and you can download it from http://aws.exolutus.com/

Love Me Like You Do lyrics

Find the Love Me Like You Do lyrics sung by ELLIE GOULDING. The song has crossed 1 billion views in Youube.

You’re the light, you’re the night
You’re the color of my blood
You’re the cure, you’re the pain
You’re the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much

You’re the fear, I don’t care
Cause I’ve never been so high
Follow me to the dark
Let me take you past our satellites
You can see the world you brought to life, to life

So love me like you do, love me like you do
Love me like you do, love me like you do
Touch me like you do, touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Fading in, fading out
On the edge of paradise
Every inch of your skin is a holy grail I’ve got to find
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire
Yeah, I’ll let you set the pace
Cause I’m not thinking straight
My head spinning around I can’t see clear no more
What are you waiting for?

Love me like you do, love me like you do
Love me like you do, love me like you do
Touch me like you do, touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Yeah, I’ll let you set the pace
Cause I’m not thinking straight
My head spinning around I can’t see clear no more
What are you waiting for?

Love me like you do, love me like you do
Love me like you do, love me like you do
Touch me like you do, touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

CTR of website

As mentioned in my earlier blog posts Click Through Rate (Page CTR) of website is the ratio of number of ad Clicks versus number of Page views in Google Adsense. This means higher the CTR , it will yield more earning so, we need to focus on generating more CTR. For this we may have to implement different kind of tweaks and tricks so that we can lure our website visitors and get some click from the relevantly shown ads. We can place ads in correct way so that visitors get eyes on it and comply to click on ads if interested. I tend to place one large banner mid content, one at the end of the blog post and other at the sidebar. This may not work in every kind of website so lets experiment with ad placement. Ad placing might not be the only solution for more clicks. I will be talking on it in latter posts too. Continue reading CTR of website
