Charles Hanson Towne (1877-1949), was an author, poet, editor, and popular New York celebrity. He moved from Kentucky to New York City with his family at the age of three. Towne began his literary career quite early as the eleven year old “publisher” of the Unique Monthly, a children’s magazine written by and for Towne and his friends. After a year at City College, Towne got his first break as an editorial assistant at Cosmopolitan magazine. In 1901 he moved to the Smart Set, a new magazine for a sophisticated urban clientele, where he held numerous positions before becoming editor in 1904.

In this witty and inspiring talk, TED Fellow Myshkin Ingawale describes how (after 32 tries) he and his team created a simple, portable, low-cost device that can test for anemia without breaking the skin.

Myshkin Ingawale is the co-founder of Biosense Technologies, which has built ToucHB, a portable, non-invasive device to test for anemia.

Problem in wordpress when changing hosting company

This is a problem I faced with my site built on wordpress when I changed my hosting plan in hostgator. Earlier I was using basic hosting plan of Hostgator, later on last March I had updated my account to reseller account. The hosting company transferred all my files and db safely so the site was running smoothly. Later when I tried to upload an image in course of writing a new blog I always got error message mentioning to provide write permission to folder wp-contents/upload (Unable to create directory /wp-content/uploads/). I tried numerous time to permit the folder with write permission but it did not solved the issue. On cross checking the earlier configuration of wordpress setting in table ‘wp_options‘ I found value of a row across ‘upload_path‘ set to the old path of the server. So this was the main reason I could not upload images to new server. After setting the value from the ‘DOCUMENT_ROOT‘ from the phpinfo function to this row solved the issue.

You can even try the following steps:

Log into Admin account.
Go to ‘Media’ Settings options from the ‘Settings’ menu.
In the Media Settings put wp-content/uploads in the “Store uploads in this folder” text box.
Save the Changes by hitting the “Save Changes” button.

Silence

I don’t have any specific persona while writing this post. Its just a feeling that just arises within me time to time. I don’t really get why people just trust the other people who talk much. The person who talks much is being easily trusted rather than the person who keeps silence. Silence never is an attribute of a loser neither any one silent just bears things happening. May be am wrong or may be much clear still the thing.
